Procurar may be more accurate and imperative than obtener or conseguir, so to *try* and maintain for 'procurar mantener' in the second weblink has, for me, echoses of an SPA/ENG translator once sued 40 years ago over for missing the meaning of 'shall maintain' e.g. secure or ensure (AmE: insure).
