Bună ziua!

Mă poate ajuta cineva, vă rog, cu un termen folosit în literatură și cinematografie, „framing device”?
Este definit astfel de Cambridge Dictionary, cu un foarte bun exemplu:

„something such as a story, scene, or explanation at the beginning and end of a book, film, etc., that has been created as a way of explaining something about the main story:
e.g. In a framing device, the hero is seen as an old man, sitting at a table recording his voice on a cassette player.”
