declining balance amortization

http://www.gibbinsfinancial5e.nelson.com/glossary.html
Declining balance amortization
An accelerated amortization (depreciation) method in which the annual amortization (depreciation) expense is calculated as a fixed percentage of the book value of the asset, which declines over time as amortization is deducted
Peer comment(s):

neutral Elena Petelos : Could well be referring to taxation.... but, how do we know? For tax purposes, I think that yes the asset value declines, but if it's a loan.... the capital (of a loan + κεφαλαιοποιημένοι τόκοι) is depreciated?
