I would have thought it just meant "authorised" but I found the above on the following website:
http://www.ambafrance.ie/article.php3?id_article=145
They end with the following words : "bon pour pouvoir", which translates as "valid as a power of attorney" and/or "lu et
approuvé", which means "read and approved".

\"proxy granted\" may work just as well but is less wordy. It\'s just an idea...

I think the term \"proxy\" emphasizes the substitutionary aspect of the phrase more strongly than \"power of attorney\".
