Hi - I'd like to know if this should indeed be translated as "commemorative" value which sounds a bit odd and for which I can find no reference connected with stocks, or if there's a special term in this context. It appears as follows in a trustee's report. Thanks so much for your input!

Siden seneste kreditorinformation har kurator fået oplyst, at situationen i forhold til et salg af aktierne i XXXX er således, at XXXX siden ultimo april måned 2019 igen har været taget af børsen, og at aktierne i XXXX dermed ikke længere handles på det åbne marked. XXXX er samtidig blevet repræsenteret ved en ny dansk advokat, hvem kurator har rettet henvendelse til i forhold til et salg af aktierne. Denne henvendelse er imidlertid ikke blevet besvaret. Henset hertil og til kurators tidligere bestræbelser på at få solgt konkursboets aktier i XXXX, vurderer kurator, at aktien i XXXX bør ansættes til en erindringsværdi på kr. 0,00

BTW, (Corporate) bankruptcy [estate] trustee report might work in the USA. In E&W would be a trustee-in-bankruptcy report for a private individual & an insolvency practitioner's > company liquidator's report.

disagree  Christopher Schröder: It’s not a residual value and it hasn’t been written down /// Stop the childish sniping. I do know accounts, but more importantly I know Danish so I know this question has nothing to do with accounts. You have led the asker down completely the wrong path.

  -> You obviously are unfamiliar with accounting and it doesn't help to bring sentimental value to an heir from probate & succession into the equation. Again, it is downright unprofessional.
