Danish term

Tilbudsstyring, døgn- og dagtilbud

Danish to English Social Sciences Social Science, Sociology, Ethics, etc. residential and social care services
Tilbudsstyring rummer blandt andet mulighed for at administrere pladser på kommunens døgn- og dagtilbud, herunder dokumentere indskrivning og udskrivning af disse.

These terms refer to the way a municipality uses an IT system to manage its granting of social services to individuals and families, but i am having difficulty coming up with a suitable english term. in many places throughout the text 'tilbud' is used to refer to the actual place- such as a shelter or other facility -where services are offered. but then in the case of døgn- og dagtilbud the meaning changes slightly, here they obviously mean almost an equivalent of inpatient/outpatient services.

any term proposals welcome, thank you.

Tender management, daytime and 24-hour services (or offerings)

This is just a suggestion - perhaps it would fit into your context?
Note from asker:
hello and thanks for your reply. confusion with 'tender' is precisely one of the things that is causing difficulty for me. this is not a tender but rather a "service package" of social services offered by municipal agencies in denmark... i am trying to find a term specific to the social services sector... for example: "• Tilbudsportalen: Der findes integration til Tilbudsportalen, som muliggør søgning efter relevante tilbud til borgeren. Endvidere kan oplysninger om kommunens tilbud indberettes automatisk til Servicestyrelsens indberetningssystem fra Løsningen."

Service management, full-time or day-time services

Technically, this is three terms, and we are only supposed to do one at a time. Tilbud is called services in USEN, when we are referring to patients or social service clients. In medical services, we would be talking about inpatient and out patient services. However for social services, the terms are a bit different.

Care management

I would suggest translating ´tilbud´ as care here.
You may need to extend the title if possible, to include day-care and residential care or services.
Placements?
Your ´portal´system sounds as if it covers both types very widely.

In these social service contexts, a so-called tilbud is more a scheme or plan for the individual client, child, old person or whoever is concerned.

Even more broadly, as others have suggested, it is a service of some kind.

It may also be a care institution - anything from a nursery or kindergarten to a nursing home, and all types of day-care or residential care.

Very often it is NOT an offer you can turn down, at least in practice, even if you can in theory. You will not usually be offered an alternative.

A ´døgntilbud´, for instance, may be for a disabled and/or elderly person who needs residential care.
It may also be a home and school for young offenders, and here it is an order, NOT an offer!

´Dagtilbud´ may mean either nursery or kindergarten, or a dagtilbud may be arrangements for the care of the elderly who still live at home, but need care or company during the day, to relieve a carer or while the carer is at work.

In other contexts a ´behandlingstilbud´ is a course of treatment for whatever needs treating.

The term ´tilbud´ is a social services euphemism that has become the official term for a scheme or a place for providing services.
