This refers to the drawbar ('dissel) on a large crop sprayer but the term seems common for most big machines towed behind tractors. I am guessing it is some kind of suspension or damper on the drawbar. But I cannot find a clear description.

If not correct, the term "low hitch" is at least related to "onderaanhanging". No time to do so myself but I'd suggest looking more closely into this option yourself to see if it fits your context.

As I said, I didn't have much time for researching my answer at the time of posting it but I've just taken another look at things. FWIW, I still believe that "aanspanning" derives from the verb "aanspannen" (syn. "aanhangen" when not referring to horses being hitched up) rather than referring to some kind of suspension device ("ophanging"). In other words, it seems that "dissel met onderaanspanning" means so much as 'drawbar that allows for low-position trailer coupling'. Cf. | Thanks, Kitty. I was looking into the same but this seems to be a tension device or damper. It was the only hitch (excuse the pun) in 10,000 words on these machines, so I gave the client my best guesses on that one and they have just sent compliments. So all is solved before the weekend.
