I misread who was speaking (using small window of my phone - sorry). Eventueel betekent niet 'if required', hooguit 'if desired'. Vaak wordt in het Nederlands 'indien nodig' (i.e. eventueel) gebruikt, wat niet dezelfde intensiteit heeft als requirement maar meer het midden kan houden tussen gewenst en vereist. Possibly (en alle varianten daarop) ligt het dichtst bij eventueel.

This is not the bank; it's a business outlining its payment options. That's why I thought the original translation ("If required, this can be increased") might be a bit too definite. It's not up to the business to say what the bank will do.

From that perspective, I thought perhaps it should be understood as a possibility under certain circumstances - something more like "you may be able to".

I would use if necessary or even if desired, along with you may be able.

'can'. 'Eventueel' expresses the feeling that you can opt/choose to do so if it suits you.
