To continue... I would hesitate using "hän lisäsi osakeomistustaan" because it is not having to do with INCREASING the ownership, but rather, MAINTAINING it. I think that it is more like "Hän säilytti osake-enemmistön" or something like that. Good Luck!!

Jussi, the most prudent thing is to look at the different terms you find and weigh them based on your context and the project itself. Don't take one person's word for it-there may be many right answers. Consult a thesauri/other resources too! RESEARCH :-)

enemmistöomistussuhde

Desmond is right with the concept. The term, however is actually enemmistöomistussuhde, (=majority ownership).
Example sentence:

As long as other countries and their citizens have no net ownership of the U.S., 100% of our country’s output belongs to our citizens under any budget scenario, even one involving a huge deficit.

are you sure? THis is what I thought, too, but then I find in glossaries on the net that this term is the same as "long position". I became hesitant and thought is this the right translation, or should I translate it as "hän lisäsi osakeomistustaan".
I *am* researching, that's why I posted the question, it's part of the research :)
