English to French Tech/Engineering Petroleum Eng/Sci seismic acquisition using vibroseis trucks

The seismic acquisition is carried out using a “vibropad” or pad included in each vibroseis truck which typically vibrates in the frequency range 1 to 100 Hz. Depending on the data requirements, pads will vibrate over a duration of 30 seconds. The vibroseis will move along the seismic lines generating vibrations at regular intervals.

After each shot is recorded, the vibrators move to the next source station. When a line truck equipment is freed, it is recovered, brought to the front of the survey and re-laid at a similar distance ahead of the source. The process is continuous and the line equipment trucks move up and down the line.

Note: Plan on using multi-vibe source array and multiple sweeps per VP to increase energy into the ground – Primarily for improved first break picking.
