: that would the translation for "to navigate" // "to scroll" could also be seen as a form of "navigation" ... just because "to navigate" also appears in this context doesn't make it THE right translation.

Some touchscreens can "recognise" at the same time even more than 2 "points of contact".
The point is that I have never seen a system for "navigating" through a menu or simply jumping to another page that would require the use of two fingers at the same time.
What is usually called "navigation" is always done with only one finger - there is no point forcing the use of TWO fingers when ONE is enough.
More information is needed to be sure of anything.
Usually on a touchscreen you need two fingers only to rotate/zoom in or out a map or a picture, NOT to go through menus of any kind.
Some more context would help.
