English term or phrase: Distressed Passengers / Distressed Travelers
Hello everybody,

I'm wondering if there is an equivalent in french for this expression.
It's part of a document listing different rates and there is this one :

"Distressed passengers rate"

I understand this point to the passengers who have to wait a night or two before enplaning.

Thank you very much

French translation:passagers en attente
Explanation:
I propose a vague term because it seems that in French you would have to specify why the passengers/travellers are distressed:
o are passengers waiting to be rerouted (passagers en attente de réacheminement; see link to europa.eu website)? Or
o are they waiting because of a delayed flight (passagers en attente de départ; see FranceAntilles link)?

neutral  patrickfor: "en attente" me semble beaucoup trop générique. tous les passagers qui ne sont pas en train d'embarquer sont en attente...

passagers en souffrance

Explanation:
That is the expression used most often in French. The whole heading would be "tarifs (préférentiels/spéciaux) pour passagers en souffrance".

agree  patrickfor: j'ai verifié avec un ami qui bosse chez Air France ils utilisent 2 termes "passagers en souffrance" et "passager en stand-by" dans ce genre de cas.
