"NSTA’s Clean Diesel Sub-Committee will continue its “NSTA Green Fleet Certification” program for NSTA member operators, and other school bus operators wishing to be recognized for their effort to reduce its emissions. The certification program was developed in 2010 to help member fleets both strive to achieve success and obtain recognition for environmental stewardship in the management of their fleets. For 2016 the certification program is amended to reflect changing fleet profiles and to allow a mechanism to compare them to Federal EPA particulate matter emission reduction standards, showing progress overall, in reducing such emissions."
