The whole sentence is:
Are you board certified or board eligible in your specialty? The physicians asked are nephrologists.
This is a medical questionnaire about uremic pruritus. But my problem is that I cannot quite understand which board is meant. Like a public authority? It's probably a typical phrase that someone living in the States knows.
Could it be something like "staatlich geprüft" oder "zugelassen"?
I'm grateful for any help.
