English term
head congestion
English to German
Medical
Medical: Pharmaceuticals
Wie sagt man es fachlich korrekt?
Es scheint ja nicht ganz dasselbe zu sein wie sinus congestion (obwohl es der Kontext vermuten ließe).

Hier der Satz:
Whenever possible, a diagnosis should be given when signs and symptoms are due to common etiology (e.g. cough, runny nose, sneezing, sore throat, and head congestion should be reported as ‘upper respiratory infection’).

Comment: "Danke allen! Der Kopfdruck als Wort war mir zwar unbekannt, aber das scheint am ehesten der passende Fachterminus zu sein. :) Ein gutes Neues Jahr allerseits!"

Rhinosinusitis
....since you were asking for the medical term.
One of the main symptoms is "Kopf- und Gesichtsschmerz" as a consequence of inflammation [and congestion] of the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses.
But I gave my agree to Regina b/c the source phrase is descriptive, too.

Maybe you could also pass with "Stauungssymptomatik" to keep it as vague as the original.

: You wouldn't really use "Stauungssymptomatik" in an upper respiratory infection context. Rather, "Stauungssymptomatik" is frequently used in cardiology/vascular surgery. See, for instance, https://www.rosenfluh.ch/media/arsmedici/2010/13/Varikosis.p...
