English term or phrase: *two-way* crossover study
My problem is the term "Two-way", which didn't yet happen to me, and research is quite frustrating. The only german translation to be found is from US websites ("Zwei-Wege-Crossover"), most likely MT-translated. No correspondence in German resources. I found 2 descriptions of the procedure in EN, talking about 2 different "groups" being confronted.
They didn't use the term "treatment arm", though to me this seemed the most logical interpretation.
Anybody can confirm "Crossover-Studie mit 2 Behandlungsarmen" or has already experience with this concrete term??
Thanks a lot in advance.

Extracts from the Synopsis:

- This is a randomized, open-label, ***two-way*** crossover, single-dose bioequivalence study comparing two "XXX" oral formulations (suspension vs. capsules) in patients with malignant glioma.

- Participants will be randomly assigned in a 1:1 ratio to one of the two formulation sequences (test suspension - reference capsules [T-R], or reference capsules - test suspension [R-T]), to be received on Day 1 and Day 2. On Day 3, participants will resume/start treatment with standard of care temozolomide and will be discharged.

- To test bioequivalence in a ***two-treatment, two-sequence, two-period study*** with 90% power, assuming an expected ratio between test and reference PK parameter means ranging from...

German translation:Zweifach-Crossover-Studie
Explanation:
