保守的 Explanation: In the absence of more detail, I tend to think in terms of "conservative" being 保守的 meaning "moderate/not excessive side of things." I think 保守的 can work for the example you provided above: "factors are conservatively established" - (factors are established in a safe and sound way - a way that avoids taking excessive chances)....Of course, it depends on what these factors are.
