Este Statul Major al Statelor Majore intr-o armata ca sa ma expim asa. Include toti comandantii tipurilor de armate intr-un teatru de operatiuni.
Din toate explicatiile de mai sus lipseste termentul "inter-arme", care este esential in traducere.
Traducerea cu "Comitetul Sefilor de Stat Major" nu este "acoperitoare" pentru ca fiecare unitate militara are un Stat Major. Deci doua brigazi de... mecanizate reunite intr-o divizie sa zicemm, au un Stat major, dar ele fiind amandoua din Fortele Terestre, Acest stat major se traduce cu Staff, si nu cu Joint Staff.

agree  lucca: Aş folosi cut/paste. Majoritatea traducătorilor apelează rar/niciodată la ajutor de pe Kudoz ;-) Nu spun eu asta, să vadă oricine. Est modus in rebus, Nina, dragă vorbitoare nativă de engleză, din România în care trăim cu toţi şi ne ocupă tot timpul ;-)
