DTS is a secure server management tool that enables monitoring and control of servers either via modem lines or over a network. Thanks to these features, DTS serves as a “lights out” management tool that continues to operate even when the server operating system goes offline, the server is powered off, or a power failure occurs.

Serv-Tech Apex 988 servers may be installed in any standard Electronic Industries Association (EIA) 310-compliant 19-inch (48.3 cm) rack with a minimum of 17 rack units (29.8 inches, 75.6 cm) of free vertical mounting space and sufficient load-bearing capacity. Also available is an optional rackmounting kit for installing the server into racks with depths ranging from 32 inches (81.3 cm) to 36 inches (91.4 cm). Instructions for server rackmounting are provided with the rackmounting kit.
