English term
toshers and mudlarks
English to Spanish
Social Sciences
History
19th Century London
Although I am a Proz Member since a long time ago and a full time freelance translator for almost 20 years, this is my first question, as I've decided to be a proactive member from now on, both asking and trying to offer sensible answers. So, here it is:
Toshers and mudlarks are both professions related to sewery in the Victorian London. Both were people who scavenge in the sewers for lost jewelry or valuable pieces. I don't know how to translate these into spanish (if there is a translation at all!).
All your help is appreciated

It seems there is a translation only for the latter term. The first term is used as-is in Spanish texts:
"Los toshers londinenses"
http://exapamicron.wordpress.com/2008/04/22/los-toshers-lond...
http://allbooks.org.ua/uploads/files/173588.fb2
