Non-PRO English to Spanish Law/Patents Law: Contract(s) Consulting Agreement

Can someone please help me understand the meaning of "other than" in the following sentence as I am not sure I'm understanding it properly:

(iii) any information identified by Company as confidential, provided, however, that Confidential Information shall not include any information that Consultant can demonstrate through documentary evidence was developed independently by Consultant without the use of Confidential Information and *other than* in connection with the Engagement

I'm having a hard time understanding the meaning of the last part of the sentence:

(iii) cualquier información que la Empresa identifique como confidencial, siempre y cuando dicha Información Confidencial no incluya ninguna información que el Consultor pueda demostrar mediante pruebas documentales que se desarrolló de manera independiente por el Consultor sin utilizar Información Confidencial __________ en relación con el Compromiso
