The tented room is waterproof, its floor is wooden and it has electrical protection against insects. The double roof is completely watertight and it prevents the tent interior from overheating on hot days.

There are not many ways to translate this term without going into long-winded explanations. The description is very clear, and I have stayed in these very comfortable accommodations in South African parks.

"Habitación encarpada" could be used, but I am not sure that it would be accepted by the RAE.

I agree with Michael in that it would be tricky to translate this term as a noun phrase without going into long explanations, but we could use a different structure, perhaps more idiomatic. If there is a photo with it (which is quite likely) and it works with the previous sentences in the text, the message would still be appealing/effective.
