Change log

Feb 29, 2020 22:09: changed "Kudoz queue" from "In queue" to "Public"

Votes to reclassify question as PRO/non-PRO:

Non-PRO (2): Yvonne Gallagher, B D Finch

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

By signing the signatory confirms and verifies an agreement

Digital signatures are considered legally binding in the same way as traditional document signatures. Signature indicates that an agreement has been consciously made, and certain actions are now either required or prohibited.
Peer comment(s):

agree Yvonne Gallagher : yes, "Digital signatures are considered legally binding in the same way as traditional document signatures" but with a comma: "By signing, "

Thank you
agree B D Finch : Though you have mentioned it in your explanation, your header term should mention the essential point that the signature is legally binding.

Ok. Thank you
agree AllegroTrans : It doesn't really confirm and verify an agreement, it "instantaneously produces" an agreemment, to all intents and purposes

agree Luis M. Sosa : I agree with your explanation. Same old fashioned and necessary practice in the insurance market now done over the internet. A sign that this industry is making some progress?

What is CL5? Why don't you comprehend?
disagree B D Finch : Wrong!// Look at the other answers and comments.

What is right?
disagree AllegroTrans : Nothing to do with truthfulness

neutral Daryo : maybe in Farsi "truthfulness" and "being bound by an obligation" is the same word, but you can't presume it's also the same in English.
