Pseudonyme/Bandname, that works for single-artist as well as for band

English Art/Literary Names (personal, company) Pseudonyme/ Bandname
hi, my name is yuki.
that´s japanese and means "snow"
i´m recording my first single-project and i´m desperately searching for a name, that workes for me as an artist as well as for the band i´ll be forming for live acts.
i need a name that includes snow (without pointing on drugs)- it´s a singer/songwriter- project, a little cynical, but sweet, influenced by straight rock and blues... any ideas? i need creative help, i´m stuck.

Hi Yuki,

Here are a few to start with. tell me more about the type of music you make and I can generate a million more;)

Michael
Example sentence:

Snow Recordings will be playing at London's Astoria Palace tonight.

Note from asker:
hi michael, thank you... the type of music is difficult to describe. every song is different, since it´s a collection of all the songs i wrote in the last years. there´s a punkrock song, a song, thats beatles-like. a bessie smith coverversion, a popsong, an arcoustic song... it´s really not really a "type" of music. lyrics are mostly in english...but most of the words (the ones i wrote) are a little cynical, as i said... but anyway thank you so far! keep on going.... yuki i could send you one though...

Snow Star; Snow Crytal

Your screen name, Snowstar, would work nicely. Another possibility is "Snow Crystal." Look at the definition of "snow" from the Merriam-Webster Dictionary:

often attributive

Middle English, from Old English snāw; akin to Old High German snēo snow, Latin niv-, nix, Greek nipha (accusative)

With music, quite often we refer to a clear voice, or a "crystal clear voice".

Mike :)

Snow Star and Crystals might possibly work for the band name.
Note from asker:
crystal would be very pretty, but i´m afraid that it could sound too narcissistic. -if i combine it with "voice"... but i like the dessert-idea. do you know any typical american desserts with snow (whites of eggs) in it? ;)

Snowstorm or Snowball

How about headlines like "Snowstorm in Berlin!" or "Snowballing success: 1,000Kth record, 12th Grammy!"
;-)

aah, how many will be in your band? did you say 7?
Snow White & the 7 Giants!
Note from asker:
huhu. i like that idea. -maybe for the name of the record? ;)

BlueSnow

blues and snow...
Note from asker:
BlueSnow is beautiful, but a little too melancholic. -and i don´t have such a powerful voice (like the great soul and blues queens)... i grew up with rock, punk, soul and blues of course, and i´ve been playing in several bands. my solo-project had always been in progress as a side-project. the names of the bands i wasin were: STRAHLER80 (like the german toothpaste in the 80´s /punkrock), MOST (german drink /art-music and dialect wordgames with a lot of jazz influence), KILL THE BUNNY (occasion was a hunter-ball / partysongs), ULF DIETER BAND, (also party) PERFECT BLUE (first solo-performance, the name appeared as title for a anime-movie, where the singer´s name was yuki), YUKI SUCKABONER (as guest singer with the band PORN TO HULA /pigrock) - we covered "bakerman" from laid back for a culture-project-sampler. that´s why the name suckaboner came up (you know the line: bakerman is baking bread, "sagabona" kunjani wena.) i´m not doing porns or something. huhu. and i´m in the band HUND (german for dog /pop, electronic, rock) so it´s very difficult for me to find a name... but please, keep going! BlueSnow is really good, i like the wordgame in it.
