English term

flare sail

English Tech/Engineering Petroleum Eng/Sci work safety
I am trying to figure out what could be "flare sail". Could it be equivalent to "flare tower" or "flare chemney"?

The text is about work safety in a FPSO:

Rope access is used for inspection of flare sail, this work is done by specialist and is covered by vendor procedure and Risk assessment.

I mean it must be an error of some kind - "flare sail" doesn't make much sense in this context (unless it's a poetic description of the flare).

chimney top Flare sail

I am not sure, but I believe a flare sail is an flare flute / arrestor / direction director located on a Flare stack to capture / direct any flares from the flare sack or chimney. It is used to direct the smoke away from the boat / home / building with the direction of the wind and has a roosters tail on it which is where the term sail comes from. Without this flair sail, the wind can blow the smoke and embers back down the chimney and into the home etc.
