French term

mais tu veux me tuer !

French to English Art/Literary
Dialogue de film : un des interlocuteurs dit "six millions" et l'autre répond : six millions ! Mais tu veux me tuer...

Il doit peut-être avoir une expression plus "anglo-saxonne" que : but you want to kill me...

Merci pour votre aide :-)

Are you trying to kill me (or something)?

That would sound idiomatic in the context I think, Arnold.

Are you trying to wipe me out?

That has an element of double meaning which might work well. To wipe someone out can mean a) to make them go broke and b) to kill them, assassinate them.
Peer comment(s):

agree Tony M : I like Dan's suggestion, if the rhetorical question idea fits into the whole sentence.

How do you know the original isn't supposed to be humorous, too?
