French term
rampes
French to English
Marketing
Food & Drink
Goods and products
Context:
XXXXXX est une de table de tri vraiment innovante.
Sans rampe, elle est beaucoup plus accessible à tous.
Avec ses TVO parfaitement affleurants au-dessus de la table,
Worktable for professional use in kitchens. Sort waste for recycling.
Does "rampe" indicate there is no ramp underneath for a movable trolley, no rails around the edge, no burners, or what?
My inclination is for the "no burner" bit and therefore safe for anyone to use.

As with a lot of French words, lots of choice, at least this fits in with what I`m doing. Thank you. |

(guard)rails
Sometimes the obvious answer is the correct one. I imagine the rails are there to prevent contact with the waste being sorted, though that raises the question of whether removing them doesn't create as many problems as it resolves.

Or rather than preventing contact with the waste, the function of the rails is to hold and slide along the trays and plates of food waste. Or both.

Example sentence:
Without rails it is much easier to reach and use.
We took the rails away to make it more accessible.

: Seems likely — I suspect it might be guard rails round the back and sides of the 'table'...

Discussion
Sans rampe, déposer son plateau et trier ses déchets n’a jamais été aussi facile !
Pour être encore plus pédagogique et lutter efficacement contre le gaspillage alimentaire, ........
So perhaps rails?
Too simple.
Waste chute.
I suspect it is perhaps a Registered name or Trade mark or perhaps an industry used term. Wife spent time over lunch with smartphone and we came up with Tractor Vapourising Oil or Total Value of Oranges, neither of which is likely.
Push them under a table somewhere.
I`ll give this some thought.
CENTRALES De conception simple, sans rampe... See here: https://partenaire.tournus.com/tri_en_salle.pdf (Sorry for the first message which went out too fast!)
Because most kitchen furniture is designed to be used standing up, it often has a cross-member running abtween the front (and also back) legs, for greater rigidity.
I don't think a ggas burner would make any sense for a 'table de tri', and you woldn't normùally have a ramp for bins underneath, as the bins would be wheeled normally on the floor — anything else on the floor traps dirt and makes cleaning difficult.
