I don't understand, Phil, was this is to do with the question. In fact, the answers are about awards and competitions, which Edith didn't ask about.
I assume, Kochmützen alludes to Gault-Millau:
"Neben den Punkten werden Kochmützen (in Österreich „Hauben“ genannt) vergeben; bei 13 und 14 Punkten erhält das Restaurant eine Mütze, bei 15 und 16 Punkten zwei, bei 17 und 18 Punkten drei und ab 19 Punkten vier Mützen."

As an aside, the Schlemmer Atlas one (you seem to be right about spoon) is not silver (and you can get more than one).
