Discussion

Björn Vrooman Apr 18, 2020:
@Phil "...gives you a picture of a ladle. But in Google Images, the vast majority are spatulas or wooden spoons."

I don't understand, Phil, was this is to do with the question. In fact, the answers are about awards and competitions, which Edith didn't ask about.

I assume, Kochmützen alludes to Gault-Millau:
https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gault-Millau

And Kochlöffel to the Schlemmer Atlas:
https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schlemmer_Atlas

However, what people do in DE, AU or CH is irrelevant here, don't you think?

As an aside, the Schlemmer Atlas one (you seem to be right about spoon) is not silver (and you can get more than one).

The most common ratings seem to be stars, points, diamonds and rosettes:

Another possibility:

Silver Ladle Award goes to AMS Pizza and Wings at Community Centre 55’s annual Soup Tasting Competition

In 2012, we were proud to receive the first place Silver Ladle Award at the Central Mass Business Expo, edging out many highly regarded local restaurants.

neutral writeaway : like the sound of it but it seems to be specific for soup (that's what I found too).
