German term

gemäss OR

German to English Law/Patents Law: Contract(s) Property maintenance contract
This is from a property maintenance contract, whereby the parties are the employer and the employee. The employee is the caretaker of luxury apartments in Switzerland. I need to know what the abbreviation OR means - I assume it is either a law or regulations relating to employment contracts.

Any help would be most appreciated.
