German term
radial palmar
German to English
Medical
Medical (general)
hand wound
I know this means relating to the outer side of the palm, but I'm not sure how to handle it as an adverb in English. Radiopalmarly? In a radiopalmar direction? At a radiopalmar angle [to the base of the thumb]?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions, here's the context:
Nach den vorliegenden Fotos ist der Schraubendreher dabei tangential mit anzunehmender großer Kraft radial palmar an der Daumenbasis in die Weichteile eingedrungen

13 hrs
radial volar
e.g. "into the soft tissues along the radial volar aspect of the base of the thumb"
"Radial palmar" indicates the side or aspect of the bone/joint, rather than the direction, because the direction is "tangential" = parallel to the bone.
[NB: volar is more common than palmar in English]

As to injuries:
28-year-old right-handed woman sustained a nail gun injury to the first web space of her left hand while performing construction work at home. She presented with a nail traversing the first web space in a dorsoulnar-to-*radiopalmar direction*.

"Tangentially, at a radiopalmar angle", is not fallacious at all...
