para-oeuvre Explanation: Perhaps you could avoid the use of "work" or "opera" entirely and go with the french word oeuvre? Or even "para-composition"? That or ditch the "para-" entirely and go with an explanation...something like "beyond/outside the traditional sense of what artwork is and also perceptual" |

meta-art Explanation: To me the prefix "meta" seems to have the same meaning that is intended here. It is also a much more familiar concept - - something beyond a literal object, something that incorporates a process perhaps or just an idea about art.
