L’‘operazione’ o la ‘manovra’ realizzata da Klein, come lui stesso la chiama, vuole essere insieme para-operale e percettiva, vuole essere risultato di procedure e protocolli, e, allo stesso tempo, oggetto d’incorporazioni e assimilazioni, vuole avere a che fare con dispositivi discorsivi ma anche con ambienti sensoriali, vuole essere argomento d’istituzioni ermeneutiche e, ugualmente, essere oggetto di restituzioni fisiologiche.

This "para-operal" work is the emptying of an exhibition space/gallery and then opening it to the public without any works, as an art exhibit in its own right.

So we're talking about a "work" of art that is nothing at all, empty rooms, which are however presented as art. But operale unhappily evokes notions of the opera when translated as such into English, and I can find no known translations. It seems its a neologism by the author.

"parallel work"? but then how to render this as an adjective?

Explanation:
Perhaps you could avoid the use of "work" or "opera" entirely and go with the french word oeuvre? Or even "para-composition"? That or ditch the "para-" entirely and go with an explanation...something like "beyond/outside the traditional sense of what artwork is and also perceptual"
