Discussion

Suzanne Blangsted (X) Jan 17, 2006:
It can be difficult to "guess" what another person might have in mind when writing a document. As a heading in a tender documents, the text usually refers to actual performance, e.g., all performances. (US)
Ian Bradburn (asker) Jan 17, 2006:
Other than how I've described it, I can't give any more context - it's just stuck out there on its own.

actual performance

without seeing more text, the verbatim translation is actual performance.
Peer comment(s):

agree Per Bergvall : While actual and aktuell are anything but the same, I suspect the writer had actual in mind when he wrote aktuell - which otherwise means momentary or current.

Tak Per - forskellen er den samme på de to ord på dansk. Jeg valgte at bruge "actual" fordi det er brugt mere here i USA end current performance.

current/present performance

That is how I suppose the translation should be.
Peer comment(s):

neutral Per Bergvall : If 'aktuell' were the proper term in the first place, you'd be right - but aktuell as part of a specification is meaningless. Faktisk ytelse, nominell ytelse - but not aktuell.
