  -> Thanks Anna that works too.

agree  philgoddard: I think this must be the meaning, but I'm not sure why they've said interceptados.

  -> Thanks. Perhaps appropriated?

agree  Douglas Bissell: properties is better as it may well also include the land

Impacted dwellings

Explanation:
In my experience, all these contracts talk about responsibilities around environmental impacts and socioeconomic impacts. And I agree with Nick that in this case dwellings makes a lot of sense, rather than the word properties, because they're talking about re-locating residents.

(forcibly, non-wayleaved) requisitioned property

Explanation:
interceptar: (fazer parar) to stop, Collins POR/ENG

Entry 3, reter; deter, empolgar (o que destinado a outrem) : Novo Dicionário Aurelio Da Lingua Portuguesa, Rio de J.

Seems to have the meaning of 'caught' or 'captured' cf. compulosry purchase in the UK and eminent domain in the US of A.

Wayleave, as all of us know, would imply that an easement contract would have been agreed between the ex-residents and hdro-power. utility company aka a 'statutory undertaker!' in the UK.

Mid-CL - middling confidence level for one of my non-core lingos and pending Mark R.'s authoritative intercession.

Example sentence(s):
  • FALSE: Governor of the Brazilian state of Sergipe decreed that properties could be requisitioned by the government amidst the pandemic

properties traversed

Explanation:
Intercepted/interceptados are clearly false friends here. The meaning of interceptados here is that properties in question are traversed by the proposed works, presumably by the conduits/power lines between the plant and the reservoirs, or by the reservoirs themselves.

"The development shall be connected to the public sewer for the disposal of foul
drainage in such a manner and by such route as will ensure to the satisfaction of
the Planning Authority, in consultation with Scottish Water, that no nuisance shall
be caused to occupiers of properties traversed by any existing or proposed
sewerage infrastructure."
