Context:
During an interview for a magazine a disabled person, Brazilian, says the following:
Também quero estar na [nome de estação de TV] com um programa que aborde inclusão e assuntos de "quebradinhos" com entretenimento.
As far as I know (please, correct me if I'm wrong) in Brazil *quebradinho* is a person with some sort of (physical) disability.
I'm looking for a term to convey that idea other than "people with disabilities" or "disabled people".

Este termo é bastante abrangente, mas muito duro, comparado com o termo "quebradinho"
Mesmo assim, não percebo por que motivo a Maria não quer utilizar simplesmente "disabled" ou "people with disabilities"! Parece-me uma opção correctíssima ;)
Outra hipótese seria "people with different types of difficulties", mas é bastante vago, a meu ver.

Cara Ana, de facto, disabled ou people with disabilities é o termo correto, mas gostaria de manter o registo mais leve e informal da entrevista, daí o meu pedido de ajuda. Por outro lado, torna-se difícil, porque como o Mário disse não é fácil encontrar um termo neutro, que não seja ofensivo ou politicamente incorreto. |

I think you need a work that is not the 'perfect translation of the term but siomething that sounds right in contexto I'd go for "the 'challenged'"

Airmailrpl's suggestions are correct, in a sense, but would not be the ideal translation, for you would spoil the euphemism. You'll have to find a nice, moody word for it in English...
