cu cerință It does not mean that it is sought after, neither does it mean that it is rare/there is a high demand for it. It just means that the client requested it for this particular project, just as he could have requested wooden window frames, solar panels or whatever.

Nuance So does this sentence mean that there was a request for the "elementele verticale" to be built in exposed concrete, or does it mean that this exposed concrete is rare and therefore sought-after.?
"La elementele verticale cu cerință de beton aparent s-a optat pentru obținerea unei suprafețe de beton cu textura lemnului"

In English it is not enough to say that it is required unless it has been requested, but it could be that this is "in demand" and therefore it is "sought after" and possibly difficult to find.....?

@ Gabriela The term to use is "exposed concrete". We do not use "apparent concrete" in English (this is a bad translation). However, I just want some confirmation regarding the nuance of "cerinta" here. Obviously I understand that it means requirement or demand. However, it is how we phrase this in English that needs to be considered.
Does the text imply that there is a high demand in Romania for buldings to be built in exposed concrete? For example, they Prime minister could perhaps be supporting this action. This is the idea I have.

"cu cerință" is the main problem - context below: XX Construcții România și XX România și-au unit experiența și expertiza tehnică pentru a realiza un proiect de referință la nivel național, cu cerință de beton aparent. Sediul administrativ central al Băncii Transilvania din Cluj-Napoca a devenit un reper în ceea ce privește execuția de structuri cu cerință de beton aparent.
