Discussion

Natalie Apr 30, 2009:
In this case it's "Patient information leaflet"
Tatyana Chis (asker) Apr 30, 2009:
- Most likely it will be used for a user label. It contains general pharmacology, indications, warnings, dosage and adverse effects information.
Mark Berelekhis Apr 30, 2009:
Need context Is this an article or a user label? The options can be VERY different.

Package Information Leaflet - for UK/EU customers

Prescribing Information (the full title for this document is United States Prescribing Information) is for US English only, and it includes percentages from clinical trials. If you are translating to US English, this may work.

For UK English or EU customers, the standard term is Package Information Leaflet (PIL).

simply 'directions'

Any medicine you pick up in the US will simply have 'directions' (http://www.fda.gov/cder/consumerinfo/graphics/OTC-label.gif)... Anything else on a user label is redundant and takes up much needed space for no reason at all.

Or if it's not only directions on use, then 'Drug Facts' (also in the link) will do. That includes all the things you've mentioned.
