Having checked with the client, my guess about it being a reference to acting with her mother was right, a bit cryptic but there you go!

Hi Anna - I think you've hit the nail on the head - "pegada" in the sense of stuck, so as you say, rather than feeling that she's stuck with her mother/tied to her apron strings, she appreciates her good company.

Reading further on, I think she might be talking about the fact she's acting in the play with her mother.

So perhaps she's referring to the fact that she's not tied to her mother's apron strings still, but it's just that she's in good company on stage??
