Afternoon all,

This is from an IT Service Contract between a Chilean bank and a multinational IT service provider. The section of the document is entitled “Improvement Opportunities”, and this is one of these opportunities.

I understand what is meant here (that each area understands its inner workings best), but can’t think of a good way to put it in US English.

Here’s the term in context:

“Continuar con la integración de procesos y herramientas:
Si bien el Banco cuenta con herramientas para la gestión de testing y de proyectos, estas no se encuentran interrelacionadas entre sí, generando repositorios de información aislada y parcial.
Por otra parte, la integración con el área de desarrollo también representa una importante oportunidad de mejora, de manera de generar una sinergia entre ambas áreas (Calidad y Desarrollo) a partir de la mejor visión que cuenta cada área y con la posibilidad de una retroalimentación del resultado de cada desarrollo desde el área de calidad.”
