Spanish term
Es todo lo que tiene que decir, es por eso que pone conocimiento a esta autorida
Spanish to English
Law/Patents
Law (general)
Mexican variant to US English. I am translating an affidavit, of sorts, which is a request to give temporary custody of a child to a grandmother for travel to the U.S. to undergo a medical procedure. I am not super-experienced with legal documents. The phrase seems simple enough, but I'm having a heck of a time wording it in English without the translation sounding stupid. The phrase comes at the closing of the document, "Es todo lo que tiene que decir, es por eso que pone conocimiento a esta autoridad de ciertos hechos." Any help with a natural-sounding legalese phrase in English would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you.
Thank you.

This is all that he wishes to state, in order to inform this authority of certain matters
Not rteally possible to translate this literally, it needs to have a "legalese" ring to it

No kidding! I'm all for plain language; e.g., "Just FYI. That's all folks!" |

Thanks David. Your answer comes in a close second to my selected answer. In fact my final translation had an element or two that I took from yours. But I had to pick one as the most helpful. Thanks again! |

: How do you know this refers to the child?; rest of your suggested translation is very cumbersome

He rests his case having stated to the authorities all there is to say in the matter.
I like Allegro's translation too!

AllegroTrans
: "Rests his case" is suggesting there is some serious dispute going on in a court; this is over-translation
