Discussion

Marisabel Maal Dec 11, 2007:
Proviso: A proviso clause in a statute excepts something from statutory requirements, qualifies the statute, or excludes some potential area of misinterpretation... es decir, es excluyente... me inclino por specific provisions/conditions/stipulations
"Proviso" suena fenomenal... y encaja perfectamente en el contexto ¡No se me había ocurrido!
Dr. Andrew Frankland (asker) Dec 11, 2007:
A suggestion I'd rather not use "characteristics" twice so close to each other. How does "proviso" sound?

Note from asker:
"Specific provisions" is the best answer so far and I can't see it being bettered. I'll leave the question open a little longer, though, just in case.

The particular feature .... shall be established by regulatory means in accordance with ....

...shall be considered as medicinal products subject to the regime/system described in this Law. The particular feature of said medicinal products shall be established by regulatory means in accordance with the nature and characteristics of each.

There is the broader Ley that establishes general and broad conditions, and deriving from this broader Ley there will be more specific regulations. In this case, particularities of individual products will be dealt with in regulations deriving from this Ley.
