I'd be more concerned with how to render "eje"... I'm not keen on "axis" as a figurative. I'd probably be more inclined to go with something like "line" or "thread".

No, I don't like "axis" either; I tend to say "core theme" for eje

Yes, perhaps they thought "sobre-redacción" sound more highfalutin' than "redacción/revisión"... :-)
