The PI3 strain INT2-2013 used as active substance in Bovilis INtranasal RSP Live was selected based on its growth characteristics and proven safety and efficacy in the company’s live vaccine Bovilis IBR+PI3.
Two methods were validated which differ in the way growth is detected: one is the traditional sterility test with visual inspection; the other makes use of an automated growth detection system (BD BacTec system), where CO2 produced by the growth of micro-organisms is detected and recorded.
Following a comparative stability study with 5 stabilizers used by the company for different products, the DOG stabilizer was selected, as in comparison to the other stabilizers it resulted in the most stable final product based on the (accelerated) stability studies at 4 and 20°C. At these temperatures, the DOG stabilizer gave the best results as shown by the least reduction in viral titre during storage (please see Table 1 for a summary of the results.

Abrasion-proof
When the engine is running, all the metal-to-metal contact can cause abrasion and make the engine lose its original texture. Not only is the metal body taxed, but a lot of material is lost which cannot be replaced. Magnatec creates a protective layer which prevents abrasion and helps retain the engine’s capability.
Decreases Stop-Start Wear
Increased amount of stop-start activity can take a toll on the engine’s performance. Some critical parts of an engine are exposed to immense pressure. In fact, 75% of the wear happens while the engine warms up. But, Magnatec, having designed to sustain itself in high strain and high heat conditions safeguards the engine.

Aşınma Direnci
Motor çalışırken tüm metal ile metal teması aşınmaya neden olabilir ve motor orijinal dokusunu kaybedebilir. Sadece metal gövde yorulmakla kalmaz, aynı zamanda değiştirilemeyen birçok malzeme kaybedilir. Magnatec, aşınmayı önleyen koruyucu bir tabaka oluşturarak motorun gücünü korumasına yardımcı olur.
Dur-Kalk Yıpranmasını Azaltır
Dur-kalk aktivitesinin artması, motorun performansını olumsuz etkileyebilir. Motorun bazı kritik parçaları yoğun baskıya maruz kalır. Aslında, yıpranmanın % 75'i motor ısınırken olur. Ancak yüksek gerilime ve yüksek ısı koşullarına dayanmak üzere tasarlanan Magnatec motoru korur.

ENGINEERING CONTROLS
Ventilation: Use local exhaust, general ventilation or natural ventilation adequate to maintain exposures below appropriate exposure limits. If a person breathes large amounts of this material, move the exposed person to fresh air at once; other measures are usually unnecessary.
Other control measures: Respirable dust and quartz levels should be monitored regularly. Dust and quartz levels in excess of appropriate exposure limits should be reduced by all feasible engineering controls, including (but not limited to) dust suppression (wetting), ventilation, process enclosure, and enclosed employee work stations.

00:00:05,744 --> 00:00:09,284
When I was young, I used to have
this dream of becoming an astronaut,

2
00:00:09,284 --> 00:00:13,424
a dream of exploring the vast blackness
that looms above our heads.

3
00:00:13,431 --> 00:00:16,021
Let's be honest,
that's probably not going to happen,

4
00:00:16,021 --> 00:00:17,931
but I can do the next best thing:

5
00:00:17,931 --> 00:00:20,831
I can send something
I designed into space.

6
00:00:20,831 --> 00:00:22,761
I am building a satellite.

7
00:00:23,511 --> 00:00:25,861
I stand here as a part of history,

8
00:00:25,861 --> 00:00:29,001
a long line of innovation
in satellite technology.

9
00:00:29,001 --> 00:00:33,431
The first satellite was sent into space
in 1957 by the Soviet Union.

10
00:00:33,431 --> 00:00:37,531
Sputnik weighed 84 kilograms
and had a diameter of 58 centimeters.

11
00:00:37,531 --> 00:00:41,511
It was huge, but it didn't do much
except send signals back to Earth.

12
00:00:41,511 --> 00:00:44,931
It was basically a giant floating battery
with an antenna.

13
00:00:44,931 --> 00:00:47,838
Thanks to technology,
we've been able to do so much more.

14
00:00:47,838 --> 00:00:49,828
We've sent telescopes into orbit,

15
00:00:49,828 --> 00:00:53,158
we've created a communication system
dependent on these satellites,

16
00:00:53,158 --> 00:00:57,158
and now we rely on GPS
to even cross the street.

17
00:00:57,493 --> 00:01:00,653
So, we should be sending
a lot more satellites into space, right?

18
00:01:01,155 --> 00:01:04,885
Yes, but there is a huge barrier: cost.

19
00:01:04,885 --> 00:01:08,035
The average satellites
that can track and monitor hurricanes

20
00:01:08,035 --> 00:01:11,735
cost 290 million dollars
to build and launch.

21
00:01:12,229 --> 00:01:14,469
Money has always been a daunting obstacle.

22
00:01:14,469 --> 00:01:17,699
In fact, the expense of space technology
was one of the main factors

23
00:01:17,699 --> 00:01:19,809
that led to the collapse
of the Soviet Union.

24
00:01:19,809 --> 00:01:23,679
Even in the West, money
has vastly slowed down progress.

25
00:01:23,679 --> 00:01:26,579
Well, until the CubeSat standard
was developed.

26
00:01:26,579 --> 00:01:28,109
The CubeSat standard described

27
00:01:28,109 --> 00:01:30,869
a small cube weighing
less than 1.5 kilograms.

28
00:01:30,869 --> 00:01:34,079
It aimed to bring satellite development
to students, universities,

29
00:01:34,079 --> 00:01:36,019
and even small businesses.

30
00:01:36,019 --> 00:01:38,289
These CubeSats took off like a rocket.

31
00:01:38,289 --> 00:01:40,529
(Laughter)

32
00:01:40,529 --> 00:01:44,735
Why? Because they cost
less than $100,000 to build and launch.

33
00:01:44,735 --> 00:01:46,655
Now, this is a lot of money, right?

34
00:01:46,655 --> 00:01:50,175
But compared to $290 million,
it's pocket change.

35
00:01:51,015 --> 00:01:52,905
They're able to achieve such a low cost

36
00:01:52,905 --> 00:01:55,085
because they're made
from off-the-shelf parts.

37
00:01:55,085 --> 00:01:56,285
No extra money is wasted

38
00:01:56,285 --> 00:01:59,735
on designing and manufacturing
specialized, integrated circuit chips.

39
00:01:59,735 --> 00:02:03,045
And because these rockets are designed
to launch with a specific mass,

40
00:02:03,045 --> 00:02:06,895
many companies loved the idea of fitting
the rockets with these small satellites,

41
00:02:06,895 --> 00:02:09,525
instead of sending more junk into space.

42
00:02:09,525 --> 00:02:11,525
This lower sum is a great improvement,

43
00:02:11,525 --> 00:02:14,075
but it still isn't cheap enough
for a student like me.

44
00:02:14,075 --> 00:02:17,775
So I opted for the even cheaper solution:
the PocketQube standard.

45
00:02:17,775 --> 00:02:20,235
The PocketQube standard
defines a tiny satellite,

46
00:02:20,235 --> 00:02:24,555
5x5x5 centimeters in size,
weighing less than 125 grams.

47
00:02:24,555 --> 00:02:27,735
That's about this big,
and weighing as much as your phone.

48
00:02:28,903 --> 00:02:29,903
Its best feature?

49
00:02:29,903 --> 00:02:34,593
It cost $3,000 to build,
and only $17,000 to launch.

50
00:02:34,593 --> 00:02:37,243
(Laughter)

51
00:02:38,823 --> 00:02:42,063
You may be wondering, "Why are we
making our satellites smaller?"

52
00:02:42,063 --> 00:02:44,563
The answer is simple: exploration.

53
00:02:44,563 --> 00:02:47,583
The smaller form factor allows
for anyone to build a satellite.

54
00:02:47,583 --> 00:02:50,073
It allows for anyone
to design an experiment

55
00:02:50,073 --> 00:02:52,013
and carry it out in space.

56
00:02:52,013 --> 00:02:54,768
It no longer takes
a few hundred million dollars

57
00:02:54,768 --> 00:02:57,938
to test the effects of radiation
on electronics up there.

58
00:02:58,401 --> 00:03:02,551
Due to the popularization of CubeSats,
and now pocket CubeSats,

59
00:03:02,551 --> 00:03:05,481
space is closer to us than ever before.

60
00:03:05,482 --> 00:03:07,612
So, what goes into one
of these satellites?

61
00:03:07,612 --> 00:03:10,492
Well, each one consists
of five main subsystems:

62
00:03:10,492 --> 00:03:14,822
the structure, the electronic
power system, the flight controller,

63
00:03:14,822 --> 00:03:18,352
the communication system, and the payload.

64
00:03:18,352 --> 00:03:20,382
The structure is the body
of the satellite,

65
00:03:20,382 --> 00:03:22,522
and it's made
from aerospace grade aluminum.

66
00:03:22,522 --> 00:03:24,732
It has to withstand
the stresses of a launch

67
00:03:24,732 --> 00:03:26,902
and protect the electronics from shock.

68
00:03:26,902 --> 00:03:29,010
It usually looks like
a piece of Swiss cheese

69
00:03:29,010 --> 00:03:30,740
in order to save weight.

70
00:03:31,194 --> 00:03:33,034
Next is the electronic power system.

71
00:03:33,034 --> 00:03:35,504
The electronic power system has one job,

72
00:03:35,504 --> 00:03:38,794
to charge the batteries using
the solar panels around the satellite.

73
00:03:38,794 --> 00:03:43,034
The solar panels have to be made
from scratch using special solar cells,

74
00:03:43,034 --> 00:03:45,304
which are the only
space-grade component,

75
00:03:45,304 --> 00:03:49,494
meaning that they
are extremely efficient, expensive.

76
00:03:49,494 --> 00:03:53,964
The flight controller
is the brain of the satellite.

77
00:03:53,964 --> 00:03:56,044
It has to control the radio, the camera,

78
00:03:56,044 --> 00:03:58,704
and collect all the data
from the sensors on board.

79
00:03:59,119 --> 00:04:02,259
The communication system
is the most important system,

80
00:04:02,259 --> 00:04:06,569
because the satellite you can't talk to
is just another piece of space junk.

81
00:04:06,569 --> 00:04:09,689
And if you just launched one without one,
you just wasted $20,000.

82
00:04:09,689 --> 00:04:10,519
(Laughter)

83
00:04:10,519 --> 00:04:14,959
The payload is the equipment
specific to your mission.

84
00:04:14,959 --> 00:04:16,759
This could be a camera, a telescope,

85
00:04:16,759 --> 00:04:19,219
or anything else you wanted
to send up there.

86
00:04:19,219 --> 00:04:21,359
Now that you know
a bit more about satellites.

87
00:04:21,359 --> 00:04:23,029
I'd like to present SAS set,

88
00:04:23,029 --> 00:04:25,299
the Singapore American School satellite.

89
00:04:25,957 --> 00:04:32,247
SASSat is a PocketQube satellite
with a camera,

90
00:04:32,247 --> 00:04:34,507
a temperature sensor,
and a radiation sensor.

91
00:04:34,507 --> 00:04:37,857
Its main mission is to take
a picture of the Earth.

92
00:04:37,857 --> 00:04:39,857
It's something that I always wanted to do,

93
00:04:39,857 --> 00:04:42,997
since I saw the blue Earth photo
so long ago.

94
00:04:42,997 --> 00:04:43,808
(Laughter)

95
00:04:43,808 --> 00:04:47,268
Finally, the first thing I did
was to design the structure.

96
00:04:47,268 --> 00:04:54,068
I spent hours learning
how to use the software,

97
00:04:54,068 --> 00:04:57,168
and then more time over winter
perfecting my model.

98
00:04:57,168 --> 00:05:02,048
When school finally started in January,

99
00:05:02,048 --> 00:05:04,308
I was able to print out this 3D model.

100
00:05:04,308 --> 00:05:06,378
I took this model
and my research to school,

101
00:05:06,378 --> 00:05:10,218
who provided me with the initial funding
to turn my dreams into reality.

102
00:05:10,218 --> 00:05:13,328
So, the idea for SASSat came out
of a conversation with my friend

103
00:05:13,328 --> 00:05:16,688
about whether or not it would be possible
to create a private Internet.

104
00:05:16,688 --> 00:05:19,758
After hours of research,
I determined that this was not possible.

105
00:05:19,758 --> 00:05:23,528
But building a satellite
was a barrier that I could break.

106
00:05:23,528 --> 00:05:25,278
It was a barrier that I could break.

107
00:05:25,278 --> 00:05:28,488
And it was an experience
that would teach me more

108
00:05:28,488 --> 00:05:31,948
about designing electronics
rather than just using them.

109
00:05:32,712 --> 00:05:35,232
So, now I was ready
to begin work in my lab,

110
00:05:35,232 --> 00:05:37,912
well, my tiny room with a soldering iron.

111
00:05:37,912 --> 00:05:40,232
(Laughter)

112
00:05:40,232 --> 00:05:44,822
Till now, I've managed to complete

113
00:05:44,822 --> 00:05:48,122
the electronic communication system,

114
00:05:48,122 --> 00:05:49,152
the power system,

115
00:05:49,152 --> 00:05:51,422
and I'm just starting work
on the solar panels.

116
00:05:51,422 --> 00:05:52,552
This is a lot of work.

117
00:05:52,552 --> 00:05:53,342
(Laughter)

118
00:05:53,342 --> 00:05:57,952
So I hope to launch SASSat by next June,
on the UNISAT 7 launch vehicle,

119
00:05:57,952 --> 00:05:59,562
and if all goes well,

120
00:05:59,562 --> 00:06:02,782
by next June we'll have
some beautiful pictures of the Earth

121
00:06:02,782 --> 00:06:05,962
and a little bit of SASSat in space.

122
00:06:06,957 --> 00:06:08,487
So, Sputnik may not have been

123
00:06:08,487 --> 00:06:10,787
the most advanced
piece of technology, right?

124
00:06:10,787 --> 00:06:13,477
It was an old battery,

125
00:06:13,477 --> 00:06:17,477
but it's part in the age of innovation
in satellite technology

126
00:06:17,477 --> 00:06:19,257
that extends until today.

127
00:06:19,257 --> 00:06:22,387
Sputnik's launch in the early days
of the Cold War sparked

128
00:06:22,387 --> 00:06:25,987
a radical revamp of the education system
in the United States,

129
00:06:25,987 --> 00:06:29,597
leading to America's leadership
in space operation today.

130
00:06:30,725 --> 00:06:33,525
Until very recently,
involvement in this exciting field

131
00:06:33,525 --> 00:06:36,775
came after years of research and training.

132
00:06:36,775 --> 00:06:41,265
Now for the very first time, students,
even our junior right here at SAS,

133
00:06:41,265 --> 00:06:44,605
can actually build something
that goes into space.

134
00:06:44,605 --> 00:06:48,475
Sure, this may sound interesting,
but why is this important?

135
00:06:48,475 --> 00:06:52,495
Many people believe that we should focus
our resources and attention

136
00:06:52,495 --> 00:06:53,955
on the problems here on Earth,

137
00:06:53,955 --> 00:06:56,975
whether it would be poverty,
or ISIS, or tsunamis.

138
00:06:56,975 --> 00:07:00,975
I don't think that breaking
the barriers of science and technology

139
00:07:00,975 --> 00:07:03,525
is incompatible with this ideology.

140
00:07:03,525 --> 00:07:06,765
In doing so, we can open
so many doors to solutions

141
00:07:06,765 --> 00:07:08,775
than ever thought possible.

142
00:07:08,775 --> 00:07:13,735
For example, there's a company
from San Francisco called Planet Labs,

143
00:07:13,735 --> 00:07:17,695
and they've managed
to create a system of CubeSats

144
00:07:17,695 --> 00:07:20,585
that are able to take an image
of the Earth every 24 hours,

145
00:07:20,585 --> 00:07:25,805
which means that they're able
to take pictures of the Nepal earthquake

146
00:07:25,805 --> 00:07:28,215
before anybody was actually
able to get there.

147
00:07:28,215 --> 00:07:31,775
They are able to - for example,
let's say there is a tsunami.

148
00:07:31,775 --> 00:07:34,955
They are able to get
the necessary pictures

149
00:07:34,955 --> 00:07:37,035
faster than Google Earth can.

150
00:07:38,479 --> 00:07:42,869
This is the main reason that Pocket Cubes
are so important to our society.

151
00:07:42,869 --> 00:07:46,739
They allow anybody
to send something into space.

152
00:07:46,739 --> 00:07:49,529
Reaching for the stars
used to be just an expression.

153
00:07:49,529 --> 00:07:51,499
I'm learning to make it a reality.

154
00:07:51,499 --> 00:07:52,419
Thank you.

155
00:07:52,419 --> 00:07:53,809
(Applause)
Translation - Turkish
1
00:00:05,744 --> 00:00:09,284
Gençken, astronot olma gibi
bir hayalim vardı,

2
00:00:09,284 --> 00:00:13,424
tepemizde beliren geniş karanlığı
araştırma hayali.

3
00:00:13,431 --> 00:00:16,021
Belki de, muhtemelen böyle
bir şey gerçekleşmeyecek

4
00:00:16,021 --> 00:00:17,931
fakat sonraki en iyi şeyi yapabilirim:

5
00:00:17,931 --> 00:00:20,831
Uzaya tasarladığım birşey gönderebilirim.

6
00:00:20,831 --> 00:00:22,761
Bir uydu yapıyorum.

7
00:00:23,511 --> 00:00:25,861
Burada geçmişin bir parçası
üzerinde duracağım,

8
00:00:25,861 --> 00:00:29,001
uydu teknolojisinde uzun
bir gelişim çizgisi.

9
00:00:29,001 --> 00:00:33,431
İlk uydu Sovyetler tarafından
1957'de uzaya fırlatıldı.

10
00:00:33,431 --> 00:00:37,531
Sputnik 84 kg ağırlığında ve
58 cm çapındaydı.

11
00:00:37,531 --> 00:00:41,511
Çok büyüktü, ama Dünya'ya sinyal
göndermekten başka iş yapmadı.

12
00:00:41,511 --> 00:00:44,931
Basitçe bir antene sahip yüzen
bir dev batarya idi.

13
00:00:44,931 --> 00:00:47,838
Teknolojiye şükürler olsun ki,
daha fazlasını yapabildik.

14
00:00:47,838 --> 00:00:49,828
Yörüngeye teleskoplar gönderdik,

15
00:00:49,828 --> 00:00:53,158
bu uydulara bağlı bir haberleşme
sistemi kurduk,

16
00:00:53,158 --> 00:00:57,158
ve şimdi caddeyi geçmek için bile
GPS'e bağımlıyız.

17
00:00:57,493 --> 00:01:00,653
Yani, uzaya daha fazla uydu göndermeliyiz,
doğru mu?

18
00:01:01,155 --> 00:01:04,885
Evet, fakat büyük bir engel var: maliyet.

19
00:01:04,885 --> 00:01:08,035
Kasırgaları izleyen ve takip eden
ortalama uyduları

20
00:01:08,035 --> 00:01:11,735
yapmak ve yollamak 290 milyon
dolar tutuyor.

21
00:01:12,229 --> 00:01:14,469
Para her zaman ürkütücü
bir engel olmuştur.

22
00:01:14,469 --> 00:01:17,699
Gerçekten, Sovyetler Birliği'nin
çöküşüne yol açan

23
00:01:17,699 --> 00:01:19,809
ana faktörlerden biri uzay harcamalarıdır.

24
00:01:19,809 --> 00:01:23,679
Batı'da bile para gelişmeyi
oldukça yavaşlatmıştır.

25
00:01:23,679 --> 00:01:26,579
Tabi CubeSat standart geliştirilene kadar.

26
00:01:26,579 --> 00:01:28,109
CubeSat standart

27
00:01:28,109 --> 00:01:30,869
1.5 kilodan hafif gelen
bir küçük küp biçimindeydi.

28
00:01:30,869 --> 00:01:34,079
Amacı uydu teknolojisini
öğrencilere, üniversitelere

29
00:01:34,079 --> 00:01:36,019
ve hatta küçük işletmelere indirgemekti.

30
00:01:36,019 --> 00:01:38,289
Bu CubeSat'lar bir roket gibi
havalanıyordu.

31
00:01:38,289 --> 00:01:40,529
(Kahkahalar)

32
00:01:40,529 --> 00:01:44,735
Neden? Çünkü yapım ve fırlatma
$100000'dan az tutuyordu.

33
00:01:44,735 --> 00:01:46,655
Şimdi, bu çok para, öyle değil mi?

34
00:01:46,655 --> 00:01:50,175
Fakat $290 milyon dolara
kıyasla bu cep harçlığı.

35
00:01:51,015 --> 00:01:52,905
Böylesi düşük bir maliyetle
başarabildiler

36
00:01:52,905 --> 00:01:55,085
çünkü hazır parçalardan
yapıldılar.

37
00:01:55,085 --> 00:01:56,285
Özel ve entegre devre

38
00:01:56,285 --> 00:01:59,735
çiplerinin yapım ve tasarımında
fazladan para harcanmadı.

39
00:01:59,735 --> 00:02:03,045
Bu roketler belli bir ağırlıkla
havalanacak şekilde tasarlandığından

40
00:02:03,045 --> 00:02:06,895
daha fazla hurdayı uzaya göndermektense
roketleri bu küçük uydularla donatma fikri

41
00:02:06,895 --> 00:02:09,525
birçok şirkete hoş gelmişti.

42
00:02:09,525 --> 00:02:11,525
Bu düşük maliyet büyük bir gelişmeydi,

43
00:02:11,525 --> 00:02:14,075
ama benim gibi bir öğrenci için
hala ucuz değildi.

44
00:02:14,075 --> 00:02:17,775
Böylece daha ucuz çözümü seçtim:
PocketQube standart.

45
00:02:17,775 --> 00:02:20,235
PocketQube standart
küçük bir uyduydu.

46
00:02:20,235 --> 00:02:24,555
5x5x5 cm boyutunda,
125 gramdan hafif.

47
00:02:24,555 --> 00:02:27,735
Büyüklüğü bu kadar,
anca cep telefonu ağırlığında.

48
00:02:28,903 --> 00:02:29,903
Peki en iyi özelliği?

49
00:02:29,903 --> 00:02:34,593
Yapım maliyeti $3,000,
ve fırlatması sadece $17,000.

50
00:02:34,593 --> 00:02:37,243
(Kahkahalar)

51
00:02:38,823 --> 00:02:42,063
Merak edebilirsiniz, "Uydularımızı
neden daha küçük yapıyoruz?"

52
00:02:42,063 --> 00:02:44,563
Cevap basit: keşif.

53
00:02:44,563 --> 00:02:47,583
Daha küçük yapı faktörü herkesin
uydu yapabilmesini sağlar.

54
00:02:47,583 --> 00:02:50,073
Herkesin bir deney tasarlayabilmesine
imkan tanır

55
00:02:50,073 --> 00:02:52,013
ve bunu uzayda gerçekleştirmesine.

56
00:02:52,013 --> 00:02:54,768
Artık uzayda radyasyonun elektronik
üzerindeki

57
00:02:54,768 --> 00:02:57,938
etkilerini ölçmek birkaç milyon dolara
mal olmuyordu.

58
00:02:58,401 --> 00:03:02,551
CubeSat'ların ve şimdi mini CubeSat'ların
genel kabul görmesi ile

59
00:03:02,551 --> 00:03:05,481
uzay bize her zamankinden daha yakın.

60
00:03:05,482 --> 00:03:07,612
Öyleyse, bu uyduların içinde ne var?

61
00:03:07,612 --> 00:03:10,492
Evet, her biri beş ana
altsistemden oluşuyor:

62
00:03:10,492 --> 00:03:14,822
İskelet, elektronik güç
sistemi, uçuş kontrol birimi,

63
00:03:14,822 --> 00:03:18,352
haberleşme sistemi ve uydu yükü.

64
00:03:18,352 --> 00:03:20,382
İskelet uydunun gövdesidir

65
00:03:20,382 --> 00:03:22,522
ve uzaya uygun
alüminyumdan yapılır.

66
00:03:22,522 --> 00:03:24,732
Kalkış baskılarına
dayanmalı

67
00:03:24,732 --> 00:03:26,902
ve elektronik aksamı şoklardan korumalı.

68
00:03:26,902 --> 00:03:29,010
Genellikle bir parça
İsviçre peynirine benzer

69
00:03:29,010 --> 00:03:30,740
ağırlıktan kazanmak için.

70
00:03:31,194 --> 00:03:33,034
Sonra elektronik güç sistemi gelir.

71
00:03:33,034 --> 00:03:35,504
Elektronik güç sisteminin tek işlevi var,

72
00:03:35,504 --> 00:03:38,794
uydunun güneş panelleri yardımıyla
bataryaları şarj etmek.

73
00:03:38,794 --> 00:03:43,034
Güneş panelleri özel güneş hücreleri
kullanılarak sıfırdan yapılmalıdır,

74
00:03:43,034 --> 00:03:45,304
uydunun uzay-sınıfı tek bileşeni,

75
00:03:45,304 --> 00:03:49,494
yani oldukça verimli ve pahalı.

76
00:03:49,494 --> 00:03:53,964
Uçuş kontrol birimi uydunun
beynidir.

77
00:03:53,964 --> 00:03:56,044
Telsizi, kamerayı kontrol etmeli,

78
00:03:56,044 --> 00:03:58,704
panel sensörlerinden gelen tüm
bilgiyi toplamalıdır.

79
00:03:59,119 --> 00:04:02,259
Haberleşme sistemi en önemli
sistemdir,

80
00:04:02,259 --> 00:04:06,569
çünkü iletişim kuramadığın uydu
sadece başka bir uzay çöpüdür.

81
00:04:06,569 --> 00:04:09,689
Böylesi bir uydu fırlatırsan,
$20,000 çöpe gitmiş olur.

82
00:04:09,689 --> 00:04:10,519
(Kahkahalar)

83
00:04:10,519 --> 00:04:14,959
Uydu yükü göreve has malzemeden
oluşur.

84
00:04:14,959 --> 00:04:16,759
Bu bir kamera, bir teleskop olabilir,

85
00:04:16,759 --> 00:04:19,219
ya da uzaya göndermek isteyeceğin
herhangi şey.

86
00:04:19,219 --> 00:04:21,359
Artık uydular hakkında fazlasını
biliyorsunuz.

87
00:04:21,359 --> 00:04:23,029
SAS setini tanıtmak istiyorum,

88
00:04:23,029 --> 00:04:25,299
Singapur Amerikan Okulu uydusu.

89
00:04:25,957 --> 00:04:32,247
SASSat kameralı bir PocketQube
uydusudur,

90
00:04:32,247 --> 00:04:34,507
bir sıcaklık sensörlü ve
bir radyasyon sensörlü.

91
00:04:34,507 --> 00:04:37,857
Esas görevi Dünya'nın bir
resmini çekmek.

92
00:04:37,857 --> 00:04:39,857
Her zaman yapmak istediğim bir şey,

93
00:04:39,857 --> 00:04:42,997
çok önceleri mavi Dünya resmini
gördüğümden beri.

94
00:04:42,997 --> 00:04:43,808
(Kahkahalar)

95
00:04:43,808 --> 00:04:47,268
Son olarak, yaptığım ilk şey
iskeleti tasarlamaktı.

96
00:04:47,268 --> 00:04:54,068
Yazılımı nasıl kullanacağımı
öğrenmek saatler sürdü,

97
00:04:54,068 --> 00:04:57,168
sonra kış boyunca modelimi
geliştirmek için daha fazla zaman.

98
00:04:57,168 --> 00:05:02,048
Sonunda Ocak'ta okul başladığında,

99
00:05:02,048 --> 00:05:04,308
bu 3D modeli yapabilmiştim.

100
00:05:04,308 --> 00:05:06,378
Bu modeli ve araştırmamı
hayallerimi gerçeğe

101
00:05:06,378 --> 00:05:10,218
taşıyacak ilk kaynağı sağlayan
okula götürdüm.

102
00:05:10,218 --> 00:05:13,328
Böylece özel bir internet kurup
kuramayacağımız hakkında

103
00:05:13,328 --> 00:05:16,688
arkadaşımla bir konuşmada
SASSat fikri oluştu

104
00:05:16,688 --> 00:05:19,758
Saatler süren araştırma sonrası
mümkün olmadığına karar verdim.

105
00:05:19,758 --> 00:05:23,528
Ama bir uydu yapmak
aşabileceğim bir engeldi.

106
00:05:23,528 --> 00:05:25,278
Aşabileceğim bir engel.

107
00:05:25,278 --> 00:05:28,488
Bana daha fazlasını öğreten bir deneyimdi,

108
00:05:28,488 --> 00:05:31,948
Elektronik aksamı kullanmaktan öte
tasarlama hakkında.

109
00:05:32,712 --> 00:05:35,232
Artık laboratuvarımda
çalışmaya başlayabilirdim,

110
00:05:35,232 --> 00:05:37,912
Bir lehim aleti bulunan küçük odamda.

111
00:05:37,912 --> 00:05:40,232
(Kahkahalar)

112
00:05:40,232 --> 00:05:44,822
Şimdiye kadar elektronik

113
00:05:44,822 --> 00:05:48,122
haberleşme sistemini, güç sistemini

114
00:05:48,122 --> 00:05:49,152
hallettim, ve

115
00:05:49,152 --> 00:05:51,422
anca güneş panellerinde
çalışmaya başladım.

116
00:05:51,422 --> 00:05:52,552
Çok iş var.

117
00:05:52,552 --> 00:05:53,342
(Kahkahalar)

118
00:05:53,342 --> 00:05:57,952
Yani SASSat'ı gelecek Haziran'da
UNISAT 7 fırlatma rampasından fırlatmayı

119
00:05:57,952 --> 00:05:59,562
umuyorum ve problem çıkmazsa,

120
00:05:59,562 --> 00:06:02,782
gelecek Haziran Dünya'nın bazı güzel
resimlerini ve

121
00:06:02,782 --> 00:06:05,962
uzayda SASSat'dan biraz daha fazlasını
alacağız.

122
00:06:06,957 --> 00:06:08,487
O halde, Sputnik en gelişmiş

123
00:06:08,487 --> 00:06:10,787
teknoloji ürünü olmayabilir, doğru mu?

124
00:06:10,787 --> 00:06:13,477
Eski bir bataryaydı,

125
00:06:13,477 --> 00:06:17,477
ama uydu teknolojisinin
gelişme çağının

126
00:06:17,477 --> 00:06:19,257
bugüne uzanan parçasıdır.

127
00:06:19,257 --> 00:06:22,387
Soğuk Savaş'ın ilk günlerinde
Sputnik'in fırlatılışı ABD'de

128
00:06:22,387 --> 00:06:25,987
eğitim sisteminin radikal
modernizasyonunu tetiklemiş

129
00:06:25,987 --> 00:06:29,597
ve Amerika'nın bugün uzay yarışında
önderliğini doğurmuştur.

130
00:06:30,725 --> 00:06:33,525
Yakın zamana kadar, bu heyecan
verici alanda yer alma

131
00:06:33,525 --> 00:06:36,775
yıllar süren araştırma ve
çalışma sonucu elde edilmiştir.

132
00:06:36,775 --> 00:06:41,265
Şimdi ilk defa öğrenciler,
SAS'taki üçüncü sınıflar bile,

133
00:06:41,265 --> 00:06:44,605
uzaya gidebilen birşeyler
yapabilmektedirler.

134
00:06:44,605 --> 00:06:48,475
Elbette, ilginç gelebilir,
ama bu neden önemlidir?

135
00:06:48,475 --> 00:06:52,495
Çoğu insan kaynaklarımızı ve
dikkatimizi Dünya'daki problemlere

136
00:06:52,495 --> 00:06:53,955
vememiz gerektiğini düşünüyor,

137
00:06:53,955 --> 00:06:56,975
ister yoksulluk, ister ISIS,
ya da tsunamiler olsun.

138
00:06:56,975 --> 00:07:00,975
Bilim ve teknolojinin engellerini
kaldırmanın bu ideoloji ile uyumsuz

139
00:07:00,975 --> 00:07:03,525
olduğunu düşünmüyorum.

140
00:07:03,525 --> 00:07:06,765
Böyle yaparak çözümlere, mümkün
olduğu düşünülenden bile

141
00:07:06,765 --> 00:07:08,775
daha fazla kapıyı açabiliriz.

142
00:07:08,775 --> 00:07:13,735
Örneğin, Planet Labs adlı San Francisco
şehrinde bir şirket var,

143
00:07:13,735 --> 00:07:17,695
ve CubeSatlar için öyle bir
sistem kurdular ki

144
00:07:17,695 --> 00:07:20,585
her 24 saatte Dünya'nın bir
görüntüsünü alabiliyorlar.

145
00:07:20,585 --> 00:07:25,805
Yani Nepal depreminin resimlerini

146
00:07:25,805 --> 00:07:28,215
daha kimse oraya ulaşamadan elde
edebiliyorlar.

147
00:07:28,215 --> 00:07:31,775
Örneğin bir tsunami olduysa
bunu yapabiliyorlar.

148
00:07:31,775 --> 00:07:34,955
Gerekli resimleri Google
Earth'den bile

149
00:07:34,955 --> 00:07:37,005
daha hızlı alabiliyorlar.

150
00:07:37,019 --> 00:07:42,869
Pocket Cubeların toplumumuz için
esas önemi budur.

151
00:07:42,869 --> 00:07:46,739
Herkesin uzaya birşeyler
gönderebilmesini sağlıyorlar.

152
00:07:46,739 --> 00:07:49,529
Yıldızlara ulaşma sadece
bir söylem olarak bilinse de,

153
00:07:49,529 --> 00:07:51,499
ben bunu gerçekleştirmeyi öğreniyorum.

154
00:07:51,499 --> 00:07:52,419
Teşekkürler.

155
00:07:52,419 --> 00:07:53,809

Three mirrors are arranged in the shape of an equilateral triangle, with their reflective surfaces pointing inwards. There is an infinitesimal gap at each vertex of the triangle through which a laser beam may pass.
Label the vertices A, B and C. There are 2 ways in which a laser beam may enter vertex C, bounce off 11 surfaces, then exit through the same vertex: one way is shown below; the other is the reverse of that.
There are 80840 ways in which a laser beam may enter vertex C, bounce off 1000001 surfaces, then exit through the same vertex.
In how many ways can a laser beam enter at vertex C, bounce off 12017639147 surfaces, then exit through the same vertex?
