Freelance German>English / Spanish>English linguist returning to my passion after a hiatus as a web developer (Ruby on Rails). In my previous life, I've worked as a freelancer, as a full-time employee for a language learning textbook company, and a contractor for a language learning software company doing such work as: translation, transcription, subtitling, content research, editing, proofreading, software testing, and digitization, among others.

I've worked most often on literature and film, academic and scientific papers of all kinds, medical documents, technical/instruction manuals, education materials, and journalism.

As mentioned above, my primary language pair is German > English but I can also work in Spanish > English. On a side note, I can also read basic Dutch and Finnish.
