Bio
My name is Yasmina Austin.

Born in France, I moved to England in 1993 to study at the University of Plymouth. I graduated in 1996 with a BSc in Psychology. I have remained in England since but have never lost touch with my roots and my culture. In 2009, I passed my Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI in LAW), delivered by The Chartered Institute of Linguists, London.

I have 12 years' experience in working as a Community Mental Health Support Worker for Plymouth Mental Health Partnership and Manchester Social Care Department. My level of English is near-native, as I constantly used it in my work with mental health patients living in the community, as well as in communicating with Psychiatrists, Clinical Psychologists, specialised nurses and GPs. I've also used my language skills in writing reports for psychiatric reviews and vulnerable adults meetings set up by the Police.

Since January 2009, I have been working as a freelance interpreter/translator. I purchased memoQ in 2012 which is a great asset for my regular clients.
