Source text - English Such trends reflect a stressful environment, and successful colonization depends (aside from physiological constraints) on the ability of the organisms to develop an effective adaptive strategy. Sediments of estuaries and other brackish water environments are effective at dampening the influence of salinity fluctuations within the substrate (Sanders et al., 1965). Therefore, the deep infaunal habitat serves as a refuge to buffer the organism against rapid and extreme salinity variations. As a result, burrowing organisms are able to penetrate a greater distance up an estuary than epifaunal (animals living on the substrate surface) organisms, which are subjected to fluctuating salinities of the overlying water column (Alexander et al., 1935).

Bio
I’m a professional translator with a bachelor’s degree in translation. I’ve been working as a freelance translator for 9 years. I’ve translated diverse kinds of texts, but mostly legal texts and IT texts, from English/French into Spanish. During all this time, I’ve used different CAT tools such as SDL Trados Studio, MemoQ, Matecat and Phrase. I feel comfortable using them. I learn fast and I can work with any recommended software. I love what I do; I love languages and translating texts.
