Master's degree in Computer Science (Dipl.-Inform.) from Karlsruhe University.
Reserve officer (LtCol) in the German army.
Part-time lecturer ("Mathematics", "Technical English" and "Scholarly Working Methods") at the university.

Born and raised in Germany, lived in Brussels (Belgium) for 6 years, then in Washington, DC (USA) for another 6 years, in the SW of France (2 years) and finally back to Germany.

Native German speaker, near-native in English and French, fluent in Spanish, plus Dutch and Portuguese as working (source) languages.
