I am a linguist-translator-educator, a self-diagnosed word-nerd, and I'm fascinated with languages, dictionaries, etymology and sociolinguistics. I have studied several languages, and have communicative abilities of various degrees in six of them: Finnish, English, Swedish, Russian, German, and Spanish.
