Source text - German The mermaid Marina.
Once upon a time there was a beautiful mermaid named Marina. She lived in the sparkling
waters of the ocean and was known for her enchanting voice and gentle nature. Marina
enjoyed swimming through the coral reefs, playing with the colorful fish and exploring the
depths of the sea.
One day, Marina heard about a mysterious shipwreck near her home. Curious and
adventurous, she decided to explore it. She carefully swam to the sunken ship and
discovered an old book inside. It was surrounded by seaweed and shells and seemed to
have been untouched for a long time.
Marina opened the book and inside she found wonderful stories about life on land. The
descriptions of green forests, blooming flowers and dancing people fascinated her. She
couldn't help but imagine what it would be like to experience the world beyond the sea.
With a spark of courage and a sense of adventure, Marina the mermaid decided to discover
life on land. She surfaced and transformed her fish tail into two delicate legs. Marina stepped
