I have a bachelor’s degree in journalism and social communication with creative writing from the University of Wroclaw, Poland. While studying, I’ve attended a variety of courses from Public Relations to Marketing, Creative Writing, Journalism, and more. After graduating with a highest score, I moved to the United States. Next to my education, I also have experience in localization and account coordination. I was Account Coordinator at Deluxe Entertainment for more than a year, but was unfortunately laid off due to the workforce reduction. The position taught me that I am great at keeping deadlines, being disciplined, organized, and great at Excel. I am always very dedicated to continuous learning and delivering projects no matter the task. Additionally, the position helped me discover my passion for localization and for coordinating work on subtitles.
The fact that I’m from a different part of the world (Poland) gives me a very interesting insight and perspective on the world of pop culture, film and television, but also outlook on life. As a person whose first language is not English, it’s personally crucial for me to provide accessibility; thanks to this, I know how important captioning is and how it brings people together and help them experience the same things equally. I am a very fast learner and highly proficient in WordPress, Microsoft Word, Excel, Gmail, Zendesk, Keynote, Outlook and more. I am also highly tech-savvy and retain new information quite fast. Additionally, my positive attitude and organizational skills are apparent from the very first moment of meeting me. |
