It’s not just something to shout "Stay immortal"
English

It shouldn’t become jingoism. “Martyr, martyr”.
It’s not just… there is a meaning to that
It’s not just something to shout "Stay immortal"
Try to find meaning behind why this thing is happening?
This is said by the brother of a soldier who died heroically in the war.
It's a transcription of the documentary.

we mustn't glorify death and martyrdom
If you reflect a little bit on the situation, the meaning will become clear.
Here we have a person whose brother, a soldier, has been killed. He is being interviewed and asked about his opinion on why he thinks his brother died, or did he think that his brother died in vain?
Any one would answer like the that, with a tinge of sadness, and in a bit of a dilemma. On the one hand he would want it to be that his brother didn't die in vain, and on the other, he would be much affected by the death of his brother and would tend to be philosphical about it.
What the person is trying to say is, martyrdom and all is fine, but we must careful that it doesn't turn out to be just a slogan or an empty boast, there must be some substance to it, there must be a worthy cause for martyrdom.
It is my belief that the person being interviewed half believes that his brother died in vain, and he is hardly a martyr, for the cause for which he died was not good enough, which is why he is making all those negative statements.
Probably he also thinks that his brother was led astray by the polemics of politicians and paid for his folly with his life.

its not just something to shout
martyrs are immortals
Martyrs are immortals, and his brother's death as a martyr isn't just a call for death or immortality. There was a reason behind his death.

: You can't just shout (parrot) the words. They have to have meaning or subtance or action behind them or they're just empty words.

its not just something to shout
Do not just shout "never die".....Do something about it.
Do not just shout. That's not enough. Stop people from dying unecessarily.

its not just something to shout
it's different from just shouting / it's more than just shouting
As I understand it, the ST says that shouting "Martyr, martyr" is/should be much more than simply shouting *stay immortal* (because *martyr* has culturally and politically charged connotations).
